
Award Descriptions
Award of Arms
This award is given at the royalty's discretion, usually on the advice of others familiar with the individual. The award also automatically accompanies any of the five Orders of High Merit, if the recipient does not already bear a Patent, Grant, or Award of Arms.

Order of the Iceberg
This is major Ruantallan Award which carries precedence. It is to be awarded to individuals who have benefited the Barony of Ruantallan, through their Excellence in the areas of Arts and Sciences, Martial Activities, or Service. Different coloured ribbons signify different areas of service. For more information see the Iceberg news item. It is a polling order, in which members of the order advise the Coronet on prospective members. The order is headed by a principal, currently Lady Eadwynn æt Hræfneshyrste

East Kingdom Orders of Honour
Queen's Order of Courtesy
This award is conferred by the Consort of the East upon such individuals as the Consort deems worthy of it by reason of the recipients' consistently exemplary courtesy to people of all ranks in this Realm and the Society at large. The token is a right-hand glove bearing a blue rose charged with a gold rose.

Order of the Burdened Tyger
This is awarded by the Crown to those connected to the running of an event or sections of an event where the Royalty was present and for which the Crown feels that the event and/or cooking were well above the normal standard of excellence in the East Kingdom

Order of the Tyger's Cub
This is awarded by the Crown to children in the East who have displayed admirable virtue and decorum at events within our Kingdom.
Order of the Troubadors
This award is a gift of the Crown and proclaims the honor and recognition of the recipients for vocal entertainment, and especially for encouraging others to join in or respond in kind. The traditional token of this award is a cup
Order of Terpsichore
This award is gift of the Crown, and proclaims honor and recognition of the recipient's consistent and unselfish devotion of his talent to helping a great many others acquire a knowledge and understanding of dance and polite court movement. The tradition tokens are bells.

East Kingdom Orders of High Merit

Order of the Silver Crescent
Awarded by the Crown to those individuals in the East Kingdom whom the Crown will have considered to have distinguished themselves by service to the Kingdom, whether by long service within one of the areas of the Kingdom whereby the entire Kingdom is held to benefit, or by continuing service in ways which directly benefit a large portion of the Kingdom.

Order of the Maunche
Awarded by the Crown to individuals in the East Kingdom whom the Crown will consider to have distinguished themselves by service to the arts and sciences, whether by attaining a standard of excellence as makes them noteworthy in the eyes of the Kingdom or by attempting more than one art form and, while not attaining mastery in any one, surpassing competence in several.

Order of the Tygers Combatant
Awarded by the Crown to individuals in the East Kingdom whom the Crown will consider to have distinguished themselves by prowess at arms, whether by attaining a standard of excellence such as makes them noteworthy in the eyes of the Kingdom or by attempting more than one weapons form and, while not attaining mastery in any one, surpassing competence in several.

Order of the Sagittarius
Awarded by the Crown to individuals in the East Kingdom whom the Crown will consider to have distinguished themselves in archery, whether by teaching, making archery equipment, demonstrating superior prowess at the butts or on the combat field, or helping to arrange archery events and/or sites.

Order of the Golden Rapier
Awarded by the Crown to individuals in the East Kingdom whom the Crown will consider to have distinguished themselves by excellence in the art of Fence by consistently demonstrating superior prowess in the lists, by teaching, and by helping to promote and expand the knowledge of their art.

Other East Kingdom Awards
Queen's Honour of Distinction
This will be given out solely at the Queen's discretion, for any reason that she deems worthy. The purpose of this honor is to recognize an act, a series of acts, or general behavior that is not already properly recognized by the Queen's Order of Courtesy, Order of the Burdened Tyger, Order of the Silver Crescent, or other Kingdom orders and awards.

Peerages

Order of the Laurel
The Order of the Laurel is the society level award for arts and sciences. Peers of this order are created by the desire of the King and Queen in consultation of the companions of the order.
Order of the Pelican
This is the society level service award. Peers of this order are created by the desire of the King and Queen in consultation of the companions of the order.
Order of Chivalry
Also known as Knighthood and Mastery of Arms. This is the society level award for armoured combat.
