Northern Shores Royal Travel Fund - Boxed Lunch Auction: As the feast for this event is Potluck, and the Dayboard is a bring-your-own-brown-bag, we are asking the talented people of the many cantons to donate a lunch for two to be auctioned off during the lunch hour. All proceeds will go to the NSRTF.
Mancala War Tourney: We ask the brave entrants of this tourney to come in teams to enter this tourney - to battle out in the lists to see who has the greatest skill at Mancala. Entrants will be required to have a voice herald to announce their group and there will be prizes for: "Best Death", "Best Heraldic Display", "Most Chivalric Fighter", and "Overall Mancala Champions". So get your game face on, find your team and get ready for WAR!
Riddle-me-this Scavenger Hunt: After the tourney there will be a Team Scavenger Hunt. Teams will be given a packet containing five riddles which they must solve. They then must find the items that are described by those riddles. The teams will be asked to defend their choices at feast and a People's Choice and Judge's Choice will be awarded.
Dancing: Need we say more?
Update on May 6th:
Greetings All,
With Mancala Wars but scant days away it is with a glad heart that I announce that there will be FENCING as part of the wars. Yes, teams can start recruiting fencers now, don't find yourself without one.
Remember they slice, they dice, and they ham it up with the best of them. Yes these gentles have been known to wield such things as fish, rubber chickens and park benches as parry objects. Come and see what objects get used in new and inventive ways.
For the fencers remember this is your last opportunity to fight before Baronial Rapier Championships is held. Come and find out what new tricks your opponents have learned over the winter. Perhaps another fencer has had a spring steel spine installed so they can be just like Guthfrith. Perhaps other's wrists have turned to putty over the past months. The only way to find out is to come and fight.
The tournament will follow the format originally conceived by Viscount Mordain of Ealdormere and named Mordain's Rings. Further details to be provided on the day.
Sincerely
Lachlan
Baron of Ruantallan
