HL Seumas Camshronach an Lochabair is a late fourteenth century mercenary born in the Scottish Highlands during the beginning of the unification of the MacGillonies of Strone, the MacMartins of Letterfinlay, and the MacSorlies of Glen Nevis into the Clan Cameron.Having served in the condottieri company of Giovanni Acuto (John Hawkwood) in the Italian city states, he journeyed to the Principality of Avacal in the Kingdom of An Tir with his Asolani wife and daughters to further his fortune. There he fought as a combat archer and rattan fighter, and was inducted into the Black Brotherhood. In addition he began to create blades and armour and acquired an AoA and a Goutte de Sang (service).

He then left the Sea of Grass to travel into the East Kingdom where he added the art of rapier to his military skills. He is currently the Baron of Ruantallan, in which position he has served his Barony and Kingdom for over two years to date.

Here we are featuring the beautifully hand-crafted blades of Baron Seumas. The handles are made out of different types of exotic woods and all cutting and shaping of the blades which are of "Tool Steel" was done by hand using a jewellers hand saw and hand files. The blades were hardened by using a BBQ on high for 45- 60 minutes each side. The finish was attained by lots and lots and lots of sanding by hand in one direction. The designs come out of my head when I talk to the person it is to be for. This applies to all measurements and so on. I try to make it fit the person physically and their time frame, so each piece ends up being a uniquely custom fit.
