The Who and When of Waivers
July 18, 2005
Recently it has come to my attention that there is still confusion regarding
WHO signs waivers and WHEN.
WHO:
NON members or Members with a WHITE card are the only people required
to sign waivers. BLUE card holders whose card are valid DO NOT sign waivers.
Please make sure they are logged on the roster and that roster is included
when you submit your waivers to the Regional Waivers Secretary. Also please
DATE and LIST THE EVENT on to top of EVERY waiver. To send a waiver without
this info makes the effort worthless.
Please do not sign a waiver if you have a valid Blue Card Membership. (And I
know you you are from the Baronial Fighter Practice, guys...) If you need a
roster there are rosters.
WHEN:
At every SCA event. It used to be fighting events only, but now if a
hall is rented, money is taken, please have waivers signed. This protects
our club as well as the property owner, and it helps us keep records of
attendees.
If you EVER have any question as to who, why, where, what - give me a
holler. As your Regional Waiver Secretary living in the barony there is no
excuse for not having the event waivers properly completed.
