New Business

  1. Distant Shore Baronial War Camp was to be held at the Foxworthy site on the 26-28 of June but there is a scheduling conflict with the Bloody Bridge Battle event in Sussex New Brunswick. The autocrat of the event offered to hold the Baronial War Camp in conjunction with the event. This is not acceptable to the curia. The Baron will make a plea to all fighters to attend this event. It was discussed by the Baron of Ruantallan and the autocrat & marshal in charge of the BBB to have meetings to arrange this event before the actual announcement of said event in the future. The event will be held on the 1st - 3rd weekend of August for this year only. Motion on the floor by Mistress Bess Darnley " Slate the Canada Day Weekend as a Baronial Camping Event date." Seconded by Colin. Passed unanimously. Prices set for the event are $35.00/family $12.00/person. NMS in affect.
  2. Cristiana has mentioned she needs $75.00 for the gold key tunics. Voted on and passed with 1 vote against.
  3. Gruffyd the innocent submitted a bid for the 1st Annual Northern Shores Rapier Championship and Arts & Sciences Championship. October 11th at the St Johhs Anglican church on Dutch Village road. Est cost is $13.50 on board, $6.50 off board. NMS will be in affect.
  4. Athelstan mentioned the creation of a training card for new fighters with the waiver attached to it. Motion was pout on the floor to create them and seconded by Theotime. Passed with one abstention.
  5. Baron Seumas apologized to Distant Shore. One on the items in Regalia was damaged by flooding when the item was in storage. The blue drinking picture will be replaced.
  6. Cealain gave a heads up that at the next meeting he will be submitting a bid for the Haloween ball. Tentative date is October 25th.
  7. Waivers - in there is a tournament, or an invitational event, waivers must be signed.
  8. Ivan would like to see a proviso stating that any members of curia who miss 3 meetings in a row be asked to step down from their position. Ivan mentioned the need to start recruiting people to take over as replacements for those of us stepping down. Ivan brought up the subject of the mandatory attendance by the seneschal at events. There should not be a site fee for the Seneschal, only the feast fee as the seneschal is REQUIRED to be at all OFFICIAL events.
  9. Ivan has mentioned that this is his last meeting and the deputy(s) would take over from the 30th of April until the Baronial Election. The Baron and Baroness set a deadline for applications as April 30th and will announce it in the coming days. The chronicler will add an insert to the Quid Nunc advertising the deadline for applications as is in keeping with the SOP's.
